A new version of the Ticam GTX®, the Ticam II is now even lighter and better-fitting, with a cuff that conforms more closely to the ankle. The same great design concept blends reduced weight, easy ankle flex and lacing, and the stability underfoot that’s necessary when carrying big loads. Waterproof/breathable.

key features

UPPER: Split Leather/Cordura

LINING: Waterproof Breathable GORE-TEX® lining fully lasted to provide good conformation over the foot to reduce bunching thus providing a smooth fit, eliminating hot spots.

C4 TONGUE: Patented anatomical construction to cradle the foot in comfort and especially over the instep.

I-LOCK: (locking cam) lacing system for ease of lacing differentially.

FOOTBED: Balance Insole, with a breathable top layer, and slow reacting foam, delivers instant customization to the foot. This proprietary insole transports moisture away from the foot, eliminates pressure points, minimizes friction between foot and insole and reduces fatigue.

FLEXFIT SYNCHRO: Allows for more natural forward ankle flex and heel fit with improved stability.

CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM: A series of perforations or holes in the boot’s cuff allows air to enter the boot whilst walking movement “pumps” heat and moisture back out through the holes along with the thermal gradient which moves moisture through the Gore-Tex lining and away from the foot.

STABILISER: 5mm Full Length Nylon

MIDSOLE: PU with SPS Dynamic TPU elements - designed to help control over-pronation and supination, reducing fatigue and potential injury when covering long distances through encouraging correct gait.

This is as close to a bombproof boot as you can get. After four weeks of use, there was little wear to show for the sometimes scrappy terrain I tramped. Its price will give many pause for thought, but it is a serious boot for serious trips and if its' many years of service you want from your investment, the Ticam won't let you down.
