For the ladies, the Mauria Evo GTX Wide is specifically engineered for a woman’s foot.

Featuring a slightly raised Achilles padding for more comfort around the ankle and a redesigned upper & eyelet construction (an upgrade from the old Mauria GTX) for reduced overlapping materials and stitching to reduce possible hot spots.

The Camino & Mauria Evo GTX Wide also features:

  1. Waterproof & breathable GORE-TEX® lining to keep your feet dry and comfortable.

  2. Anatomically Padded C4 Tongue to reduce instep pressure.

  3. Patented X-lacing Stud to reduce tongue movement, pressure and friction.

  4. LOWA Flexfit Synchro allows the foot to roll forward and saves you energy when going uphill.

  5. New Bi-Density Midsole that gives more padding to the heel and forefoot areas to reduce fatigue.

    And finally,

  6. Vibram® Apptrail II outsole with a patented self-cleaning tread for excellent grip (especially downhill) and is also resoleable.

Every step counts in the great outdoors, we pay very close attention to the final 5% that makes a boot outstandingly great.

This is why for over 100 years serious outdoor fanatics like the New Zealand Alpine Team (NZAT), NZ Hunter Adventures, and the Hunters Club have trusted LOWA for its unparalleled Comfort, Fit & Innovation.

Here’s a heartfelt review from 2 customers on the Camino Evo GTX Wide (as found on the LOWA NZ & AU websites)

Should have spent the extra first time

With a desire to do more hiking, I purchased a pair of Italian made boots, which had fantastic reviews and were a bit cheaper than Lowas.

After several weeks of trying different socks, tape, blister pads, sore toes and sore feet, I was not sure if they would break in. They eventually did but I would still get sore toes and feet.

As it happened, I tried on a pair of Lowas in a shop in Wanaka. I took the insole out of the Lowas, and it was instantly wider than my current boots.

After much deliberation back in Australia, I bought the Caminos, sick of sore feet and toes.

We did the Perisher to Charlotte walk. No blisters, sore feet or sore toes. I was particularly impressed with the way the tongue stops your toes getting based on down hill.

Although they were heavier than my other boots, they did not feel heavier. I would recommend paying the extra and getting Lowas.

They are exceptionally well made, the technology works, and they are very supportive.

Having done the Routeburn and Kepler tracks in New Zealand, you need a sturdier boot as there are sections of loose rock and scree.

The Camino provides the support and protection without being overly stiff. -  Mark V. O

Comfortable & Stable

I used these over snow, ice, hard dirt, mud, and very rocky terrain for 180km over 16 days, carrying a 10 kg pack. Didn’t skip a beat, no sore feet, very supportive. When fitted correctly with good quality socks, I think this boot is magnificent.
