Our Best-Selling Hiking Boot - LOWA Renegade GTX MID

Renegade GTX MID

26 Years & Counting...

The Renegade was first introduced in 1997 as a boot that combined the comfort and flexibility of a trail running shoe with the durability and support of a hiking boot.

It was a new concept that challenged the norms of traditional outdoor footwear, and it quickly gained a reputation as a high-performance boot that could handle any adventure.

Today, the Renegade is a beloved icon in the outdoor community, trusted by adventurers all around the world and selling over 12 million pairs.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - "Best Boots Ever"

I had bursitis on my heel and needed to change work boots. I purchased Lowa 4 months ago, and the lump on my heel has gone.

Great boots for being on your feet for long periods of time.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - "11 Years On

Well, after 11 years, I finally have to retire my Renegade GTX boots. The soles have cracked down the sides but had a good run.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"Need No Other Boot"

I was issued these in the Army and wore them for years. After years of near constant daily abuse, I had to move onto my second pair after 5 years.

This boot will stand the test of time, no matter what you're doing. Now I still use them today, long after my time in the Army, and I can walk forever in them.

So after seven years of use, I'm still on my second pair of Renegades, and I'll be buying another pair when my current pair finally kicks the bucket, which I don't foresee happening anytime soon.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - "Instantly Comfortable"

Loved these from the first time I put them on. Strong, stable, have good grip, and they look great too.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - "Perfect"

First wear was a very wet 8k Mt hike; they were awesome, took some time to actually become wet inside the boot (from basically walking along a stream), and had zero blisters or irritation.

Really good grip, light, and good support for rough terrain. They cleaned up well and were waterproof again on my next wear.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - "Working Great"

These arrived less than 48 hours after I ordered them. I've had the chance to break these in on a couple of day hikes with my dog so far, and they've been great.

I've done 26.5km, tested their waterproofing at the base of a waterfall, and all looks good.

It feels nice and sturdy; there is a slight rubbing on the side of my pinky toe (although my feet are a tiny bit wider than average), but I suspect this will go away after I break them in a little more. Overall, I am very happy with these.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - "Third Pair Of These Awesome Boots"

It is a sign of good quality and even better fit when one person buys a pair of boots that are the same brand and model time and time again.

I bought the third pair of these awesome boots, and they usually last me between 7 and 10 years with lots of wear.

They are the most comfortable hiking boots for short (and odd multi-day) hikes, and the only reason why I also own another pair of LOWA Boots (Tibet GTX) is that those are crampon compatible and the Renegades are not.

All in all, these are the most comfortable hiking boots I have owned in the last 30 years, and when these current ones give up the ghost after long wear, I will most certainly buy yet another pair of the same model.
