Spend a fortune and you’ll still soon be out of warranty

After not being able to determine if my toe leather is cracked where the laces start or just gouged from blackberry I decided to shift from NikWax to Lowas proprietary cleaning, proofing and softening products. As is to be expected, not all the range is available online and I still had to travel up a hwy to get active crème.
Following the detailed maintenance instructions here I removed the laces rather than just cleaning around loose laces, thanks to the patented bearing lace system I now have no plastic tips and can’t put the laces back on. As expected that’s another accessory that is rarely in stock on this website!
You have to wonder why Skellerup stopped making Bullers to seemingly leave kiwis with two choices, slop around in red bands or spend a fortune on Lowas and soon find that the tried and tested care schedules aren’t sufficient or are advised against.
