    Nubuck Leather Upper

Robust and durable to extend the life of your boots. It's also open pored for breathability while remaining fully waterproof.

    Gore-Tex® Lining

Allows for moisture and sweat to escape while preventing water from entering from the outside.

    C4 Tongue

Reduces pressure on the instep and allows for improved flex and comfort.

    X-Lacing® Stud

Reduces tongue movement and prevents pressure and blisters from forming.

    Roller Eyelets

Allow for quick, easy and smooth lacing with minimal friction.

    Flexfit

Allows the foot to roll forward thus saving you strength when going uphill. Also provides for some rotation in an otherwise stiff boot for natural walking comfort.

    I-Lock System

Allows for extra room in the instep area for a snug fit for all day comfort.

    Nylon Stabilizers

Provides total underfoot support for rough and uneven terrain so you can stay stable on off trail or rocky adventures.

    Polyurethane (PU) Midsole

PU midsoles do not deform under heavy packloads so you can carry more without compromising weight and flexibility.

    SPS System

Optimises foot stability to provide added comfort when walking. This system corrects gait by reducing pronation and supination (feet rolling inwards or outwards).

    Vibram® Masai Outsole

Experience excellent grip on all surfaces thanks to this self cleaning mountaineering tread so you can take on rocky and uneven terrain with confidence.

    Crampon Compatible

Obtain better grip in icy conditions. The Tibet is combination crampon compatible.

Excellent wide fitting, insulated, waterproof, semi-stiff Tramping & Alpine boot suitable for flexible crampons. These days, I just use them in winter above the snowline, or when descending aggressive scree slopes. Rest of time, I'll be in approach shoes.

    10 year plus review.

I like to give reviews after using the product. My first pair of Lowa Tibets lasted 10years until the soles came off. I assume due to the glue giving out. I’d done a lot of days, and multi day trips including in the Southern Alps here in New Zealand.

I brought my second pair and they have lasted me 5 years and still going, they have lived in mud and wet for weeks at a time. They have comfortable and nothing has given out on the upper on either pair. Only fault has been the soles on the previous pair which I totally accept given how old they were and the abuse they had.

They are a bit on the heavy side but that’s what you get for a sturdy boot used on long expeditions and able to carry heavy packs. Definitely recommend.
